Proper Swim Attire
Date: July 01, 2025
To ensure a clean, safe, and family friendly environment for all at the pool this season, please remember:
Proper Swimwear is Required at All Times
• All swimmers must wear swim attire made specifically for swimming, such as lycra or nylon swimsuits, swim trunks, jammers, bikinis, or one-piece suits.
What’s not allowed
• Street clothes: no cotton T shirts, denim, gym wear, compression gear, sports bras, leggings, shorts, or underwear
• No revealing styles, such as thongs, G strings, or Brazilian cuts
• Regular diapers are prohibited, infants and toddlers must wear swim diapers plus swimwear
Why it matters:
• Hygiene – non-swim fabrics may carry bacteria into the pool
• Equipment protection – Cotton and heavy fabrics clog filters and harm systems
• Chemical balance – Street clothing and detergents can affect water chemistry, leading to algae growth and green water
• Lotions and oils – Excessive sunscreen, tanning oils, or body lotions can leave residue in the water, making it cloudy and straining the filtration system
• Shared space etiquette – Modest, appropriate attire supports a respectful and family-friendly atmosphere
Tip: Please apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before entering the pool to allow absorption and minimize residue in the water.
Enforcement:
Pool staff or HOA representatives will check swimwear upon entry and may deny access, ask guests to change, or ask them to leave the water if attire doesn’t comply.
Please see attached for examples of acceptable and not acceptable swim attire.
